While the rest of the world suffers thru tough economic times, as do tenants of Emirates Stadium, Arsenal FC. Due to financial reasons the club has recently announced that all games will be played at the Mestella in Valencia Spain. It came in great time as snow has covered up almost all of the United Kingdom.

But the weathers been bad at the Arsenal camp long before the snow storm hit. With a record of 0-6-1 the Gunners have struggled to find form and are winless in the current season. Aside from the 4-4 tie against Juventus, the gunners have yet to put out a decent showing. Glimpses have been seen but they fail to string them together.

A struggling defense is thought to be the problem by the press. The public think it’s the lack of dedication from the players. Manager Arsene Wenger believes it a result of a combination of factors that have given the subpar Gunner performances.

“the lads have struggled to keep focus and maintain stability in their confidence on the pitch” explained Wenger, “Arsenal has long been a team of fundamentally sound and technical football. We pass and move, pass and move. And this team is struggling to find connections amongst one another”

Wenger did praise striker David Villa for his continued dedication to the Gunner uniform. As one of the 2 bright spots (the other being goalkeeper Julio Cesar who has kept the scoring tallies lower then what they could be) Villa has been able to find the back of the net atleast once in most of the games. His 3 goal performance against Juventus was admirable by the press, fans and maintains to be the highlight of the season for the Gunner faithful.

Wenger has admitted that star Brazilian midfielder, Diego has yet to be the player he was at Werder Bremen. “He seems to be out of focus and has yet to reach maximum form”. Diego was expected to be the catalyst for the gunner offense but has yet to turn in a stellar performance.

Wenger did mention that he will be looking to the transfer window to make additions. Of those metioned by Wenger to be looking elsewhere are Westermann, Ricardo Montolivio, David Pizzaro, and Afonso Alves.

“The rumors of Diego leaving the Emirates are strictly rumors. He is here to stay and we have confidence he will find his game, although if the right offer comes there will be consideration but we are more than happy with him.”

Of those Wenger is looking to bring over are Arjen Robben, Robinho, Walter Samuel, Ivan Cordoba and Samir Nasri.
